Some mobility issues are rather more serious than others. If this is the case for you, we recommend our profile and lifting beds. This medical bed for home use is still designed to your specifications, with all the bespoke design and production that you could want, but includes our assistive technology, if required.
The robust ‘profile and lifting’ mechanism allows the bed to be raised VERTICALLY as well as independently lowering, or raising, either the head or footend, so family members or carers need not struggle or put unnecessary strain on their backs — just use the ‘really easy’ hand held controls. These carer-friendly beds are designed for both the user and those who support them.
Our fantastic NHS kindly supply hospital-type adjustable beds for use in the home but, unfortunately, they’re not the most stylish or attractive pieces of furniture. We are often asked if we can build a bespoke handmade bed that incorporates all of the same features that the NHS beds comprise. The answer, of course, is yes!

Our standard mattresses have our removable/washable CoolPlus-covered fabric but, if more appropriate, we can offer our fully-waterproof/washable mattress covers — ideal for care settings.

With over 300 stunning fabrics to choose from, you can be sure to find the perfect match for your bedroom — or for the French Majestic bed, choose from our floral fabric collection.
Request free fabric samples by quoting reference code CECL. Samples are sent by courier so you can see and feel the quality before you commit. Alternatively, explore our fabric range online or speak to us about a home consultation where we bring the samples to you.
Should you have a particular fabric which you would like your new bed upholstered in — no problem. We just require documented evidence that it meets British fire-retardancy standards and is suitable for upholstery use on your new bed.
Please note: All of our beds are made to order and bespoke to your own specifications. Orders cannot be cancelled once production begins. We strongly recommend requesting samples before placing your order.
We offer a home consultation service for after you have placed your order.
This is a chance for us to visit you, take accurate measurements and give you a physical demonstration of a working bed, its mechanisms and features.
We can also bring along our full range of fabric samples so you can choose the perfect match in the comfort of your own home.
Once we have confirmed your order, we shall organise a mutual delivery date, giving you an a.m. or p.m. time slot.
Should our delivery team encounter adverse traffic conditions, they will keep you updated regularly. The customer must be available at the delivery address to sign and acknowledge receipt.
Important — Considering Access: It is your responsibility to ensure the furniture will fit into your home. If you have any low stairways, doorways, tight corners or low ceilings, just get in touch with us for advice.
